Privacy Policy

Introduction
Mira ("we," "our," or "the app") is a habit-tracking application built with your privacy as a core principle. This Privacy Policy explains what data Mira collects, how it is stored, and your rights regarding that data.
What Data We Collect
Mira stores the following data locally on your device:
- Habits you create (names, icons, categories)
- Habit entries and logs (dates, values, notes)
- Sentiment records (mood ratings on a 1–6 scale)
- User preferences (theme, notification settings, display options)
By default, all data is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. No data is transmitted to any server unless you explicitly enable iCloud Sync.
iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you subscribe to Mira Premium and enable iCloud Sync, your data is synced across your Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. This data is:
- Encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
- Stored in your personal iCloud account
- Accessible only to you and your devices
- Not accessible to Mira's developers
You can disable iCloud Sync at any time in the app's settings. Disabling sync does not delete data already stored locally.
What We Do NOT Collect
Mira does not collect, transmit, or store:
- Analytics or telemetry data
- Advertising identifiers or tracking pixels
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Usage statistics
Mira contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics frameworks, and no advertising networks.
HealthKit Data
With your explicit permission, Mira can read the following data from Apple HealthKit:
- Sleep duration and quality
- Step count
- Heart rate
- Heart rate variability (HRV)
This data is used solely to display correlations between your health metrics and mood within the app. HealthKit data is:
- Read-only — Mira never writes to HealthKit
- Never transmitted outside your device
- Never stored on any server (even with iCloud Sync enabled)
- Processed entirely on-device
Data Export
You can export all your data at any time from the app's settings. Exported data is provided in a standard format that you control entirely. We believe your data belongs to you.
Children's Privacy
Mira is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since Mira does not collect any personal information from any user, there is no risk of children's data being gathered.
Subscription & Purchase Data
Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Mira does not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. For information about how Apple handles purchase data, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
